Following its post-Soviet transition, Kyrgyzstan experienced political instability and a transition to a parliamentary system. This unique context provides a backdrop for examining the dynamics between state policy and evolving religious identities within the country. Traditional security narratives, often influenced by Euro-American perspectives, may not fully reflect local conditions and the internal political complexities that shape Kyrgyzstan's religious landscape.
